I’ve never understood the tendency to write in all-caps except for the letter L, the one letter whose lower case looks exactly like another letter’s upper-case. But it’s surprisingly common.
Fortunately I don’t think anyone’s going to pull a “Cancel that, it says HELF” on this warning sign!
I saw this sign in a coffee shop the other day. Honestly, the misspelling of Dr. Seuss’ name is more painful than the misspelling of nonsense, which you could at least look at as a stylistic choice.
I figured it was only kind to blot out the name of the shop at the lower left.
You know you’re a programmer when you misspell “cash” as “cache.”
Maybe “Sent from my iPhone/Droid/whatever” is worth including…as a spelling disclaimer. (Sent from my G2)
I’ve never understood why people will use a lower-case L in the middle of an otherwise all-caps phrase. It’s the only lower-case letter that happens to look exactly like another letter entirely when mixed with capitals.

Someone’s teacher might be disappointed in the spelling…
A few weeks ago, the floodlight in our entryway went out. This was the first built-in fixture to burn out, so we checked with the apartment office to see whether we should replace it ourselves or ask maintenance do it. They said they’d take care of it.
A few days later, the light was still out, but we got a service report with one line written on it:
Upon reading “replaced blub,” the manager joked, “There’s your problem!”
Shortly afterward, the bulb was replaced.
